Windows Phone 7 Marketplace hits 3,000 apps
One of the smallest marketplaces for apps, the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, has finally hit 3,000 apps. Although this is nothing compared to Nokia or Apple, it is still a big accomplishment for the marketplace. As well as 3,000 apps they now also have 15,000 developers.
They have a long way to go before Windows reaches a point of actually competing with Apple or Nokia. And, it is very important to catch up, as success in many ways is determined by how many apps/developers a marketplace has. Hopefully they will make some progress in 2011.
