Nokia N8
The Nokia N8 with one of the lesser-known OS's, Symbian offers a very nice smartphone which has tried to offer better usability and functionality than others. The Nokia N8 is running the newest version of Symbian which offers some needed improvements such as more multimedia capabilities. Considering the fact that this phone does not offer anything which is absolutely amazing, the $549 price tag will probably keep the majority of people away. Despite the price tag the Nokia N8 is overall a nice smartphone and offers free turn-by-turn directions which is rarely seen any where but in Android phones.
The Good: Offers a much better experience than previous Symbian phones, captures great video a pictures, and free turn-by-turn navigation with Ovi Maps.
The Bad: Despite the upgrades in the user-interface it still has a lot of work to do in order to compete with other smartphones. And, the very high price tag will discourage many from buying it.
Overall: If you can afford it then the Nokia N8 might be for you, but that is if you are only looking for a very simple phone. If you want a more " cutting-edge " smartphone you should be looking into the Droid series or the iPhone.
